iAlign: Line Design Gallery

Line Design:  I usually make these out of small steel section materials, so that the resultant images look like line drawings.

Another name I’ve sometimes used for these is Wireframe Style, again because they often look like wire or line images.

The concept here is to present two images, different images when viewed from the right or left.  In the example above, Christmas Star Tree, the image from the right is a Christmas Star, while the image from the left is a Christmas Tree.  In between, you see sort of  jumble.

I’ve made 15 or 20 of these, usually about 16″ to 18″ high.  I enjoy the challenge of designing these to incorporate the two images, but often I also challenge myself to make it out of a single piece of steel.  That additional challenge adds to the fun of designing these.

Angel Star

The photo shows what you will see:  from the left, an Angel.  From the right, a Star.  All signifying icons of Christmas.

As I mentioned, I challenged myself to make this out of a single piece of steel.

Me And My Cat

We love our pets.  Here we have a girl in the right view, and her cat in the left view.

Again, the image was made out of a single piece of steel.

My Night To Howl

Another work on the theme of a coyote howling at the moon.  In the left view we have a coyote howling, and in the right we see the moon that it’s howling at.

Enjoy Wine

Many of us enjoy a glass of wine!  Here, we have a wine glass and a person who’s happily enjoying it.

Me And My Dog

To give equal time to dog lovers:  we have a girl in the right view, and her faithful dog in the left view.

Us Together

A pairing of a boy and a girl – a fundamental relationship.  Indicated here with a boy in the left view, and a girl in the right.  Bringing togetherness.

Global Warming

Also known as “It’s Your Choice.”  We have Global Warming – from the right, a flower.  From the left, fire.  It’s your choice, based on what you do, which way life and nature goes.

Missouri Star Girl

From my wife, who is a quilter, I learned of the quilt pattern “Missouri Star.”  Because most quilters are women, I created this with the right view of a girl, the left view of a Missouri Star.
